Growing up, the thought of having a family was nowhere in sight. As a young, adult, I actually didn’t want children. My idea of life was to have a slamming career I loved and to travel like no other!

Many years later, I had gotten married and after a year, I tested positive for a surprise baby! When I found out that day, I was shocked as I was not planning to have one. But then everything in me shifted. I went into Mama Mode.

It was exciting to witness and experience the changes, even to see that little heart beat <3

Then there was a health issue that a specialist said would be beneficial for me to undergo a procedure. I had trusted that doctor, even though there was something off, that I did not want to undergo the procedure.

Weeks later, I miscarried. It was the most excruciatingly painful thing that I ever went through. Mentally, emotionally, and so much more beyond that. I was beyond devastated. For the next 10 years, I was just existing. I was done living.

But somehow that little bit of shredded Spirit I had left wouldn’t give up. So slowly I began to get the help I needed to come back to life. This is my second chance at life, and I’m looking for that 2nd second of creating a family of my own.

I’ve already tried IUI on my own, and recognize I need a bit of help from a trusted team of specialists. And this time including my intuition and support from others.

As I go through this part of my journey, I am not going to wait. It’s been a journey coming back online to life, and I refuse to be “rescued” or wait for a man to come into the picture. I am taking a stand and choosing to be a single mom by choice.
